When Spike went to get his stitches out after his eye surgeries he had a reaction to the stitches which caused some irritation to his eyes and surrounding area so he was put on a round of antibiotics. He is now all healed and his eyes are doing great, there is still some droop to his left eye but it is not causing any damage to his eye and I am afraid if he has another surgery on it that it might get over corrected which could cause damage as well, so I have decided to leave it alone for now, however it may require a surgery at a future date that his adoptive parents will be responsible for and this will be a condition of his adoption.
He also has a foot infection that I have been battling and trying to clear up, it may require a surgery and Spike will get to see his Dr this week to determine what the next approach will be.
But in general he is doing very well, Spike likes to sleep in his bed and go for car rides. He likes to play but is just figuring out how to play with toys. He is now running (prancing) at Spikey speed as he continues to feel better.
He is such a great boy and has the funniest personality, however he is a true bulldog and is the most stubborn bullie I have had to date *LOL* when Spike does not want to do something there is no compromising with this boy....it's Spikey's way, so his new owners must have patience and know how to work with the most stubborn of them all.
Check back later this week to see how his Dr appt went.
